LYRICS: Brewing Clouds An all observing eye sees the complex interactions The role-play at breakfast, lunch and dinner a distraction In lull, let’s loiter together On the table, we conversate about the weather The gutted stream of consciousness gives to instant satisfaction Let my over-active imagination develop our attraction And the brewing clouds will come When they come, we will run, run, run And the bright sun’s rays will shine Light the sky; dry my eyes, crying eyes, crying eyes Hidden in your pockets are your perfect polished limbs, smothering the spark unable to stoke the fire within In prose, you’re scrawled with repetition But I can only skim the surface of your description By day as local tourists, we soak up our surroundings In our peaceful, silent space at night we analyze new knowing And the brewing clouds will come When they come, we will run, run, run And the bright sun’s rays will shine Light the sky; dry my eyes, crying eyes, crying eyes… Vocals, Uke, Harmony: Danielle Arsenault Piano: Sarah Shechner Bass: Ollie Walker

Humanity Hype Humanity’s blasphemy concealing public lies in secrecy living stacks upon stacks of what we seem to be Population’s exploitation, the enemy Remember those days well, we’re still learning the ways of pushing, prodding, winking, nodding on friendship malaise Eggshell stepping seven billion and growing share earth’s space Oops, so sorry, didn’t mean to squish into you Pardon me, my elbow is lodged into your eyebrow We’re packed sardines, no room, but this train is leaving soon Advertisement stricken, consumer crazy, we all want fit bodies but we’re fucking lazy Don’t believe the hype (x4) I peed my pants on the bus from Tequila to trust Driver making a fuss Scheduled time what’s the rush Time proven to stand through the grand master plan When we’re all dead in the end like my grandma, my friend Through it all, through it all, positivity reigns Pass on smiles; all the while accept inevitable change Rouse the courage push the threshold of your vocal range Freedom fighter, laughter lover, soft stepper, earth eater Light searcher, question hunter, secret keeper, soul seeker Don’t believe the hype (x4) Vocals, Uke, Harmony Composed by: Danielle Arsenault Bass: Mathieu Stewart

On Time Out of Time We plan and prepare and anticipate our future But this figment of time - clock ticks – lives only in our minds Our bones grow and wisdom shows and wrinkles squint, make fine lines in pretty rows Vibrations of carbon and oxygen, organic building blocks Measuring life’s events the brain’s atomic inner clock Cat nap, mind clear then snapped awake by a sudden shock of a million thoughts. If you’re lost you can look and you will find me, time after time If you fall I will catch you, I’ll be waiting, time after time (x2) Contraction, repression. We crave security Expansion, expression. Comfort in uncertainty In seasons in seconds eternal synchronicity Individual perception, the memory of what used to be So make the best of this test and don’t ask why it’s not a question, but a lesson learned in time. It’s something unpredictable and in the end it’s right, I hope you had the time of your life. Beat Box: Sean Sanders Vocals, Uke, Harmony, Composed by: Danielle Arsenault Bass: Mathieu Stewart

Events and Happenstance Down and out in this bed of chance Provoked by events and happenstance I stare out the window at the rooftops down below And hope soon the air in my lungs will flow on their own To be bored and forced does nothing for creativity When life hangs in the balance Shocked by the possibility that it could all end in an instant Don’t wait, focus and listen Little steamy demons retreat one by one then softly dissipate with the heat of the sun They go with the wind and blend with the blight and mingle with the cigarette smoke from the lips of passers by Not one is the same nor will it ever be The wind is the constant that moves the smoke I see For the highs and the lows in the moments that last, remember these too shall pass As the glaring truth bears down profound nerves embarking on a breakdown No silent solace can subdue the ear piercing sound One deep breath and sweat soaked sheets A light head and darkness surrounding me To be bored and forced does nothing for creativity When life hangs in the balance Shocked by the possibility that the highs and the lows in the moments that last, remember these too shall pass Vocals, Uke, Keys, Harmony, Composed by: Danielle Arsenault Bass: Ollie Walker Melodica: Adrian Omni

Once Destroyed with Tears of Joy I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by mirrors and near death naivety. Over-analyzed and under educated Who almost dug themselves and early grave and were unable to escape the parade. Angel-headed Misters and lost little sisters who battled their way through the maze they had created for themselves, of course dictated by this society that we are all a part of. Who searched and reached beyond the confinements of philosophy in drug induced bouts of languid curiosity With purpose or with apathy, a dissatisfied duality Who adapted to convenience in a lazy existence of dependence and vice Who swam in the possibility of success but chose to waste life Who walked in shoes with holes among rows of suburb cut-outs and loose belly dives The corner chug-chug The pin prick tattoo Where the desolation angels led their desolated lives Who hitchhiked on helicopters and played with each other Who stashed drugs in bushes and crossed country borders And pulled rickshaws in harbours And bathed naked like mermaids in rivers under the imminence of interstate bridges Who eventually recognized the facade that gripped them full-fledged And that their terrors were their passions that hung by thin threads Until the divine washed them over and brought them a little closer to a hyper-state of awareness while living on the edge Propelled by naïve desires, we learned – the destroyed minds and I And now as empathy stirs in the bottom of my soul I feel an overwhelming urge to give To give from the rooftop of my apartment Overlooking the stacked of bricks hollowed out to house homes of visitors to this land I hope for a higher consciousness to reach the populace To teach the populace In our dreams, these experiences allowed us to walk slowly on the open highway of life We went on a round the world journey of discovery with tears of joy in our eyes And this lead us to the door of every door we would ever open. Inspiration Comes to Me Passion isn’t a nice view of the sea. It is the sea. It’s the deepest, scariest part of the sea With the stingray, great white shark, seals and soft seaweed. Where in the unknown lurks danger and buried treasures How life as we know it is measured. So, when passion radiates out of the pores of strangers Those on the same plain are connected by magnets An immediate split second connection Where we savour the flavour of raw emotion detection And then your life can be changed in a second The threat of Armageddon is lessened Two paths collide. This is happening now Go with the flow and honour, don’t ponder the how We’re living in the present moment – in being This isn’t a dream, it’s reality Breath comes easy, It’s needed for recovery, and all the while the inspiration comes to me. My head is a little screwed up And I’m having trouble concentrating on the regular stuff Who would have thought, it was only a weekend But I want to rewind it and do it over again Breath comes easy, it’s needed for recovery, and all the while the inspiration comes to me. So I gave in to your metaphorical whirlwind Caressing and eating up my forelimbs You made love to me and did my dishes And rapped hip-hop verses so specific Unable to express my admiration – I’m taken My words as Wordsworth’s were without arms to reach the wall, lost in a labyrinth vacant I watched visceral visually impressed by lyrical mystery If only for a moment enchanted by your beauty Breath comes easy, it’s needed for recovery and all the while the inspiration comes to me Flying it comes, flying it goes Faster than a flower in the sunlight grows Its aftershock still blissfully rattles my bones Causing me to shiver and quiver down below Breath comes easy, it’s needed for recovery and all the while the inspiration comes to me We all have our own schemes, our own lives, our own dreams So I respect your freedom and your self determination But I’d like to see you again on another fine occasion – in a different destination Am I being optimistic or am I realistic while arranging the logistics? Now I gotta say, I don’t feel this way everyday And gentle whirlwind dear, you’ve got your own distinctive way Self searcher, fine flirter, hot and bothered, globe trotter Armed with intelligence, a myriad of mystery Mind open, you’ve sparked my creativity and all the while the inspiration comes to me. Breath comes easy, it’s needed for recovery and all the while the inspiration comes to me. Vocals, Shaker: Danielle Arsenault Loop Created by Danielle Arsenault and Kristoffer Schmarr

We Pray 04:18
We Pray We pray for someone to pull us out of these cookie cutter ruts We pray for someone to come and bandage up our cuts, To seal the loose bits up Your fist flying fights are yours and yours alone You’re following the light, mediocre average drone, Go run and catch your bone How would you know if a bird survives if you don’t even know you’re alive Why would you care if a bird survives if you don’t even know you’re alive ( x2) You only have this one chance but you’re wasting it, disgracing it The world is much bigger than you You only have this one chance but you’re wasting it, disgracing it Enlightenment only comes to few Out from the mouth flows filth, weak observation of your eyes Out from the mouth flows deepest, darkest secrets publicized, Nice try, cunning disguise How would you know if a bird survives if you don’t even know you’re alive Why would you care if a bird survives if you don’t even know you’re alive ( x2) We pray for someone We pray for someone Vocals, Uke, Harmony, Tambourine Composed by: Danielle Arsenault Percussion: Andy St. Louis Electric Guitar: Matthew Mangano

Love is the Word First you were here, now you’re gone First you were here, now you’re gone Soon I will get to see you and thank you for your time A little bit of confusion, a little bit But that’s what keeps our hearts beating, although moments are fleeting Tumbleweeds in a whirlwind Committed to our stumbling Living in the moment Now we are here; Now we are here Now we are here, love is the word Now we are here, love is the word Love is the word

Weightless Plummet Scaling peaks in search, in reach of human limits Our frequent foray, a mystery to most Blood and bone, rooted in home Give into the weightless plummet Helium fits and soda pop lips, evade Sir Newton’s rule of thumb Legs and feet stuck to the street, give into the weightless plummet Defying vertigo with smiles open wide on colossal outcroppings, our bodies side to side Pin-pricks in comparison to salt and pepper scars of geological anomalies accepting no holds barred Give into the weightless plummet, give into the weightless plummet Unconscious daily breath, the rise and fall of a chest A bicycle down a hill, tempting speed against one’s will Thought to thought evading scrutiny of an accepted, habitual reality and it’s all attributed to gravity To harness nature raw, our attempts forlorn If we discover the serious side of gravity scorned Her lunar majesty, a magnet Muting the cries, hiding the tears as the waves crash upon the shore And I speak of the mountains that were here before we came and will be there when we go Summit attempts through the centuries while battling ice and snow A personal challenge, can I do it, there is only one way to know Jump or float Keep her (me) in her (my) boat Pull down snow and rain That wash away sidewalk chalk drawings Give into the weightless plummet (x4) Walls built up to crumble down Ramshackle, weathered time spares no one (x3) Give into the weightless plummet (x4) Vocals, Uke, Composed by: Danielle Arsenault Harmony, Trombone Composed by: Hannah Holmes

Soak Your Life in Music Music of the rhythmic masses transcends above all races In the heartbeat of the wanderer, the stuck, the loved, the faceless The measure of vibrations can be heard in many places from the first song birds that escaped from out their cages to the triumphant celebrations in war and peace throughout the ages And in the hum of modern life and patterned footsteps on the pavement, bass bellows from the bowels and treble runs it rapid cadence Listen carefully and you’ll hear the rhythm pulsing though the matrix Music is a tool that gives you the permission to feel Imagination or reality, these emotion roused are real Boogie, jump, jive, shimmy, cut a rug Foxtrot, prance, promenade, do the jitterbug With an educated ear and higher sense for quality, Move to the beat with your heart on your sleeve Choose it Dance to the impulsive infusion Let it uplift your heart in its profusion Light your feet on fire and lose it And soak your life in music Vocals, Loop composed by: Danielle Arsenault

about

This debut album echoes inspirations from wrinkled mountains in different corners of the globe to reflections of society from the comfort of a bedroom. You'll hear cheerful, uke-infused, folk-esque sounds ringing throughout the album in both English and Spanish. It has a sound of its own and sets a bright tone that blends well with the lyrics. Harmonies ring throughout, peppered with an odd sprinkling of piano, bass guitar, trombone and violin in one track or another. If Suzanne Vega, Tracey Bonham and Ani Difranco and I were to have tea, I’m sure some music making would go down. These tunes will have you singing along as you smile through the streets with a little extra bounce in your step!
